From 1955 to 1962, the DKW fast truck was built as Type 3 with a three-cylinder engine with 896 cc and 32 hp – now the traditional model makers miniaturize the legendary van in 1:87 from new shapes and make it premiere as a box van. After the VW T1, the Ford FK 1000, the Borgward B611 and the Tempo Matador, WIKING succeeds once again in a historic model-making coup. After all, there was the concise fast truck from 1953 to 1960 ever as an unglazed WIKING model. The DKW Schnelllaster 3 = 6 is initially built as a box van, bridging the years of reconstruction after the war. The DKW transporter was considered a manoeuvrable vehicle for the first transport tasks in the nearby delivery and distribution traffic. The model was therefore also referred to as 3 = 6, because his engine according to quite daring advertising lines of the then Auto Union “three power pulses per crankshaft revolution, just like the six-cylinder four-stroke ensured”.
