Tamiya is pleased to announce the new addition – this time the British Battle Tank Challenger 2 – to our extensive 1/48 military miniature series. The Challenger 2 features an engine based on the Challenger 1 (Britain’s main battle tank in the Gulf War), double pin and double block chains and a redesigned tower. First use began in 1994, and about 120 Challenger 2 vehicles were in use as the main tank of the 7th Armoured Brigade in the Iraq War in 2003.
